In this article, 281 subclavian vein catheterisation çases were performed With various indications in the Department of General Surgery of Ankara Medical School have been reviewed retrospectively. The following complications out of 281 cases occured : in 9 cases sepsis (due
to catheterisation), 8 pneumathorax, 3 arythmia, 2 hematoma on neck, 2 air embolisation, 2 subcutancous emphysema and 1 hemomediastenium retrospectively.
One death related to catheter was air embolisation.
A.Ü.T.F. Genel Cerrahi Kliniğinde çeşitli endikasyonlarla uygulanan (3 yıllık) 281 MVK retrospektif olarak incelendi. 9 hastada kateter sepsisi, 8 pneumothorax, 3 aritmi, 2 boyunda hematom, 2 hava embolisi, 2 derialtı enfizemi ve 1 olguda hemomediasten olmak üzere toplam 29 komplikasyon izlendi. 5 hastada
ise kateter yanlışlıkla çıkmış veya hasta tarafından çıkarılmış olup bunlar da dahil edildiğinde toplam komplikasyon adedi 34 e ulaşır (99 11.2).
