Abstract

Although Hydatid Cyst disease is one of the leading health problems specific to our country, it is a fact that we do not give the necessary importance to this disease and do not behave in ways that exceed our habits. Although we have a sufficient amount of material to determine the characteristics of this problem in our country and to seek solutions for them, it is interesting that there are still very few, if any, comprehensive and reliable studies based on statistical data about patients with hydatid cysts. In this study we presented, we wanted to emphasize that the morbidity and mortality findings related to hydatid cysts are quite frightening and that this situation becomes apparent when the number of cases increases.

Abstract

Hidatik Kist hastalığı yurdumuza özgü sağlık sorunlarının önde gelenlerinden olduğu halde, bu hastalığa gereken önemi vermediğimiz, alışkanlıklarımızı aşan davranışlarda bulunma dığımız bir gerçektir. Yurdumuzdaki bu sorun ile ilgili özelliklerimizi saptayacak ve bunlara çözüm arayacak sayıda materyele sahip olduğumuz halde hidatik kistli hastalar hakkında istatistiksel verilere dayalı, derli toplu, güvenilir çalışmaların hâlâ parmakla gösterilecek kadar az oluşu ilginçtir.
Sunduğumuz bu çalışmada hidatik kist ile ilgili morbidite ve mortalite bulgularının oldukca korkutucu olduğunu ve bu durumun vaka sayısı çoğaldığı zaman belirgin hale geldiğini vurgulamak istedik.
