Relationship Between Heart Systolic Phases and Left Ventricular Volumes in Aortic Valve Insufficiency

Abstract

This study was carried out in patients with aortic insufficiency in order to determine the relationship between systolic time intervals which are measured by simultaneous recordings of ECG, phonocar diogram, and carotidogram and angiographically determined left ventricular volume. 20 cases of aortic insufficiencv were selected.
The importance of preejection period (PEP), left ventricular ejection time (LVET) , Isometric contraction period (ICP) and (Q-I) interval was empasized. Their relationship with left ventricular endiastolic volume, end diastolic pressure stroke volume, ejection fraction and regurgitant volume were investigated, the results compared with the literature.
The relationship between systolic time intervals and left ventricular ejection fraction was statistically highly significant, but with end diastolic volume was only moderately significant. The relationship between systolic time intervals and regurgitant volume was poorly significant. There was good correlation between the patient's clinical condition and regurtgitant volume.

Aorta Valvülü Yetmezliklerinde Kalbin Sistolik Fazları İle Sol Ventrikül Volümlerinin İlişkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma aorta valvülü yetmezliklerinde Elektrokardiyogram, Fonokardiyogram, ve Karotidogramm simultan olarak yazdlrllmasl ile ölcülen kalbin sistolik fazlarl ile anjiyokardiyografik olarak hesaplanan sol ventrikül volümleri arasındaki ilişkiyi saptamak üzere yapılmştır. 20 aorta valvülü yetmezliği vak'ası alınmıştır.
Kalbin sistolik fazlarından PEP, SIVEF, IKF, (Q-1) aralığı üzerinde durulmus, bu fazların sol ventrikül diyastol sonu volümü, diyastol sonu basıncı, atım hacmi, ejeksiyon fraksiyonu, regürjitan volüm ve sol ventrikül verimi ile ilişkileri araştırılmış ve sonuçlar literatür bulgularl ile karşılaştırılmıştır.
Sistolik fazların sol ventrikül ejeksiyon fraksiyonu ile iliskileri istatistiki yönden önemli, diyastol sonu volümü ile iliskileri ise orta derecede önemli bulunmuştur. Regürjitan volümle sistolik fazlar arasındaki iliskilerde istatistiki yönden az önemli bulunmustur. Klinik olarak hastalığın derecesi ile regürjitan volüm ve sol ventrikül verimi arasmda önemli iliskiler vardlr.
