Ankara TİD Fakültesi İç Hastalıkları Kliniğinde 1958 - Haziran 1972 yılı arasında klinik bulguları ailevî Akdeniz hummasınına uyan 110 vaka tesbit edildi. Hastaların hepsi Türk olduklarını iddia etmekte ve hikâyelerinde Musevi, Ermeni, Arap ırkından biriyle evlenme yoktu.
Bu seride ailevî Akdeniz hummasına bağlı amiloidosis bugüne kadar bildirilmiş olan serilerden daha sık olarak tesbit edildi.

One hundred ten patients with the diagnosis of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) were seen in the Department of Internal Medicine, Ankara Medical School, from 1958- to June 1972. All of these patients were of Turkish ancestry. In no intance was there any history of intermarriage with members of the Arap, Armenian, Jewish people.
Amyloid complication of FMF was found more frequently in this series 54.5) than in other series of FMF reported to date.
