Results of Kidney Biopsy in Children
Abstract
Percutaneous kidney needle biopsy was performed on 150 children aged 16 or younger who were hospitalized in the Ankara Medical Faculty Internal Medicine Clinic or sent from other children's hospitals and departments. Of these 150 kidney patients, 37 (24.7%) had renal amyloid, 32 (21.3%) had chronic glomerulonephritis, 27 (18.0%) acute glomerulonephritis, 22 (14.6%) membranous glomerulonephritis, 11 i (7.3%)Kidney Biopsy Results in children had subacute glomerulonephritis, 8 i ( 5.3%) systemic lupus erythematosus consists of 3 ii (2.0%) membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis, 2 si ( 1.3%) Alport syndrome, 2 si (1.3%) focal glomerulonephritis, and a few other kidney diseases.Amyloidosis was detected at a higher rate than any series reported in the literature to date.
