Zihni Yetersizliklerde Pyrıthıoxın Tatbikatı
Abstract
This study investigates the effects of Pyrithioxin on 67 school-aged children with a mean IQ of 60. Forty-two of these children were students in special classes in various elementary schools in Ankara. A four-month treatment with Pyrithioxin and placebo was evaluated using a double-blind technique. Each child's IQ was tested before and after treatment. Observations were conducted by parents and teachers. At the end of the treatment, IQ tests and observation reports indicated a mild but noticeable improvement in behavioral efficiency among children treated with the drug.
