Abstract

100 kordon kanmda nisasta - jel elektroforezi ile pH 8.6 da Thalassemia ve hemoglobinopati grubu hastalIklar üzerinde araştırma yapıldı. Aynı kanlarda Hemoglobin Fötal miktarlarl Singer'in Alkali denatürasyon metodu ile tayin edilerek ortalama % 59 bulundu.
100 kan numunesinden bir tanesinde Hemoglobin A dan daha hlzll mobilite gösteren bir hemoglobin fraksiyonu tesbit edildi. Bu fraksiyonun elektroforetik özelliži ve nesredilen vak'alara uygunluğu göz önüne almarak hemoglobin Bart's oldužuna karar verildi (oran % 1). Baskaca anormal Hemoglobine rastlanmadl.

EXAMINATION OF CORD BLOOD FOR THALASSEMIA ETC HEMOGLOBINOPATHYS

Abstract

One hundred specimens of cord blood were examined by Starchgel electrophoresis. One sample contained an electrophoretically «fast» moving fraction of hemoglobin, an incidence of 1 % NC) other abnormal hemoglobin could he found in the samples of cord blood.
The abnormal «fast» hemoglobin component was thonght to be identical with «Bart's» hemoglobin and disappeared at the age of 4 months. No hematological abnormality, other than Bart's hemoglobin, could be demonstrated on this baby.
