Abstract
During the last few years in the field of teratology great ad- vances had been observed and because of these advances in our knowledge about ethiology, clinical property and prevention of congenital malformation are improved.

Abstract
Son yıllarda teratoloji alanındaki büyük gelişmeler sayesinde kongenital malformasyonların etyoloji, klinik, tedavi ve daha önemlisi profilaksileri yönünden önemli adımlar atılmıştır. Bu yazırnızda konu ile ilgili olarak literatürde mevcut araştırma ve yayınları gözden geçirerek, kongenital malformasyon etyolojisinde önemli yeri olan çevre faktörlerini değerlendirilmiş ve sözünü ettiğimiz hastalıkların önlenmesi için alınması gereken tedbirler belirtilmiştir.
