Lupus Nefritinin Araştırılması
Abstract
In 12 SLE cases, including one autopsy case, kidney biopsy was performed and the lesions in the kidneys were investigated. In 3 of the 12 cases, the kidney lesions were found to be of the «Glomerulitis» type and in 9 cases, the «Glomerulonephritis» type. Although there was basement membrane thickening and proliferation in the glomeruli in the glomerulitis type, no significant changes were detected in the interstitium and tubules. In all 9 cases with glomerulonephritis type changes, wire-loop lesions were detected, in 7 cases, focal necrosis with localized cell proliferation and in some cases, glomeruli were lobed. It was observed that the kidney lesions in the wads with microscopic hematuria and cylindruria were of the active type.
