Serum Kalsiyum Kolorimetrik Tayin Metodunun Geliştirilmesi
Abstract
We modified the colorimetric calcium estimation method of Roe and Kahn. In our approach, calcium in serum is initially precipitated as calcium oxalate. This precipitate is then dissolved in acid and subsequently re-precipitated as tricalcium phosphate. The colorimetric reaction of Fiske and Subbarow is applied for final quantification. Our improved technique uses only 0.5 ml of serum, which is a quarter of the volume used in the original method.
