Current Status of Suture Materials Used in Surgery

Abstract

İn this paper, after enumerating spesifications needed for the suture material in ligating vessels and closing surgical | Wounds, the advantages and disadvantage of contemporary reşorbabie; catgut, collağen, polygiycolic &cid, polyglaction 910 and nonresorbable; linnen, silk, cotton, nylon, polyester, polypropylen, stainless stesi' wire suture material were reviewed.After this, different recent investigations on Şuture mateTrial and practical results derived from these were summmarized

Abstract

Bu yazıda, cerrahi yaraları dikmek ve damarları bağlamak çin kullandığımız dikiş materyelinde bulunması lâzım gelen özellikler sıralandıktan şonra, bugün kullanmakta olduğumuz
dikiş materiyelinden rezorbe olanlardan, katgüt, kollegen dikiş, polyglycolic acid, ve polyglactin 910; rezorbe olmıyanlardan, keten, ipek, pamuk ipliği, nylon, polyester, poiypropyler ve paslanmaz çelik tellerin yarar ve sakıncaları gözden geçirildi, . Bundan sonra, muhtelif yazarların dikiş materiyeli hakkında, son zamanlarda, yapmış olduğu araştırmalar ve bunlardan çıkarılacak pratik sonuçlar özetlendi.
