Guatr Ameliyatlarından Sonra Görülen Karışmalar (Komplikasyonlar) ve Tedaviler
Abstract
Complications seen in 367 cases operated on at the I. Clinic of Surgery between 1963–1967 were divided into early and late stages and discussed in light of literature. Early complications included hyperpyrexia (11.4%), edema (10.3%), suppuration (4.6%), thyroid crisis (3.5%), hypoparathyroidism and serous collection (3%), throat ache (2.7%), dyspnea (2.1%), dysphagia (1.9%), voice disturbance (1.3%), hematoma (1.1%), and several others. Late complications comprised bad cicatrisation (1.9%), hypothyroidism (1.6%), keloid formation (1.3%), recurrence (1.1%), fistula formation (0.5%), progressive exophthalmos (0.27%), and death (0.8%).
