Kolestasis ile Seyirli Karaciğer Kist Hidatikleri
Abstract
We encountered 16 patients with hydatic disease of the liver among 390 cases evaluated for cholestasis using CPTK and ERK. Although the overall percentage (4.1%) is small, it highlights hydatic cysts as a notable cause of cholestasis in Türkiye. Both imaging methods proved to be accurate and safe, revealing that hydatic cysts may rupture into or compress the bile ducts, mimicking obstructive jaundice. These findings underscore the diagnostic and surgical guidance value of CPTK and ERK, especially in patients with prolonged cholestasis unclarified by routine tests.
