Hepatit B Antijenemisi (HBAg) ile Birlikte Olan Glomerulopatiler (2 Olgu Nedeniyle)
Abstract
Two male pediatric patients (aged 8 and 4) presenting with nephrotic syndrome and macroscopic hematuria were investigated for renal and hepatic pathology. Both cases tested positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBAg). Renal biopsies revealed membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis in one patient and membranous nephropathy in the other. Liver biopsies in both cases demonstrated cirrhosis. Laboratory findings showed proteinuria, hematuria, normal complement levels, and elevated serum lipids. Although immunofluorescent detection of HBsAg complexes was not performed, the clinicopathologic correlation supports the possibility that immune complexes formed by hepatitis B viral antigens may play a role in the development of secondary glomerular pathology.
