Abstract

At our clinic 52 cases of oesophageal foreign body is reviewed, 77% of the case are among 1 - 7 age groups and most of them were coins. Patient over fifty years had food stuff. In general localisation was at cervical oesophagus (77%).
In 45 cases foreign body was removed through the oesophagoscope. In five cases was found in the stools. In one case because of penetration into the oesophageal wall thoracotmy and oesophagotomy was performed. In another case was associated with perforation. Thoracotomy, removal of the foreign body and repair was carried out. There was mortality or morbidity symptomatology and clinical diagnosis was discussed and emphasis put on the complications and treatment.

Özofagus Yabancı Cisimleri (52 Vak'anın İncelenmesi)

Year 1977, Volume: 30 Issue: 1, 77 - 106, 31.03.1977
