Abstract
The findings obtained from radioactive brain scintigraphy performed on 32 cases of subdural hematoma are presented. In subdural hematoma, brain scintigraphy reveals increased activity extending along the convexity of the medial border of the skull, seen on scintigraphy in various positions. Radioactive brain scintigraphy is helpful in the diagnosis of subdural hematomas 5 to 90 percent of the time. However, this appearance is not always pathognomonic for subdural hematoma. Some extracerebral processes may also present the same appearance. Brain scintigraphy aids in the diagnosis of traumatic cerebral events and is an important initial test.

Abstract
32 subdural hematom vak'asında yapılan radyoaktif beyin sintigrafisinde elde edilen bulgular taktim edildi. Subdural hema- tomda beyin sintigrafisinde, muhtelif pozisyonlarda sintigrafide görülen kafa tası kemiğinin ic kenarında konveksliği boyunca uzanan aktivite artışı görülür. Radyoaktif beyin sintigrafisi “5 90 oranında subdural hematomların teşhisinde yardımcı olur. Bunun- la beraber bu görünüm her zaman subdural hematom için patog- nomonik değildir. Bazı beyin dışı proçesler de aynı görünümü ve- rebilir. Beyin sintigrafisi travmatik serebral hadiselerde teşhise yardımcı olmaktadır ve ilk müracaat edilmesi gereken bir test olarak önem arzeder.
