Abstract

Starting from the point that ps left atrial hypertrovhy may develop in the cases with left ventricular hypertrophy in which left ventricle failure has occured we have searched whether left atrial hypertrophy patterns in the elektrokardiography, would be a criteria to demonstrate heart failure.
After treating the left ventricular failure by digitalis P wave changes demonstrating atrial hypertrophy have been studied. This the effecte of the physiological changes, such as left ventricular failure and decompensation, on left atrial hypertrophy have been observed.
As a result we have reached the conclusion that in arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disaesas the left atrial hypertronhy decreases greathy after treatment with digitalis whereas in mitral insufficjency the same response cannot be achiened though the same therapy si applied.

Kalp Hastalıklarında Sol Atrium Hipertrofisini Gösteren EKG Bulgularına Tedavinin Etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada sol ventrikül hipertrofisi ile seyir eden hastalıklarda sol kalp yetmezliği gelisirse sol atrium büyüklüğünün olusabileceği noktasından hareketle elektrokardiografik sol atrium hipertrofisi örneklerinin kalp yetmezliğini gösteren bir kriter olup olmayacağı konusu araştırıldı.
Digitalizasyon ile sol kalp yetmezliğinin iyilesmesinden sonra P dalgasının sol atrium büyüklüğünü gösteren bulgularındaki değişmeler incelenerek sol ventrikül yetmezlik ve kompanzasyon gibi fizyolojik değişmelerinin sol atrium hipertrofisi örnekleri üzerine etkisi incelendi.
Sonuç olarak atherosklerotik ve hipertansif kalp hastalarında sol atrium hipertrofisinin digitalizasyonundan sonra anlamlı bir şekilde düzeldiği fakat mitral yetmezliği olan vakalarda bu düzelmenin daha az olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
