Abstract

Cadmium sülfat testi, plazma proteinlerinin globulin fraksiyonlarındaki değişiklikleri değerlendirmek amacıyla kullanılan, kolay uygulanabilir ve hızlı sonuç veren bir karaciğer fonksiyon testidir. Testin özgüllüğü, özellikle β-globulin ve euglobulin düzeylerindeki değişimlerle ilişkilidir. Bu çalışmada, cadmium testinin teknik detayları, çeşitli hastalıklardaki klinik yorumları ve mikroelektroforetik incelemelerle desteklenen gözlemler sunulmuştur. Testin özgünlüğü, sadece karaciğer hastalıklarıyla sınırlı kalmayıp, romatizmal, hematolojik ve bazı enfeksiyöz durumlarda da pozitif sonuçlar verdiği görülmüştür.

Abstract

The cadmium sulfate test is a simple and rapid liver function assay that evaluates alterations in plasma protein globulin fractions. Its specificity is mainly associated with changes in β-globulin and euglobulin levels. This study presents the technical details of the test, clinical interpretations across various diseases, and findings supported by microelectrophoretic analysis. The test’s diagnostic value extends beyond liver diseases, showing positive results in rheumatic, hematological, and certain infectious conditions.
