A.Ü. Tıp Fakültesi’nde Uygulanan Böbrek Ponksiyon Biyopsilerinin Neticeleri ve Gözlenen Komplikasyonlar

Abstract

This study presents the results of 131 kidney puncture biopsies conducted on 124 patients between 1954 and 1959 at Ankara University’s II. Internal Medicine Clinic. The procedure proved diagnostically effective in 76% of cases. Complications were classified into two categories: those caused by direct needle entry into the kidney (e.g. microscopic hematuria in 86 cases, mild pain, transient renal colic) and those caused by inadvertent needle placement in neighboring organs (e.g. accidental puncture of the adrenal gland). Intrarenal pressure was successfully measured in 28 cases, including one arterial pressure tracing at 95/50 mmHg. Despite strict precautions, two rare complications were detailed without post-procedural morbidity.

Results and Observed Complications from Kidney Puncture Biopsies at the A.U. Faculty of Medicine

Abstract

Bu çalışma, 1954–1959 yılları arasında Ankara Üniversitesi II. İç Hastalıkları Kliniği’nde 124 hastada uygulanan 131 böbrek ponksiyon biyopsisinin sonuçlarını sunmaktadır. Vakaların %76’sında tanı koymaya yeterli doku elde edilmiştir. Komplikasyonlar, iğnenin böbreğe doğrudan girmesiyle oluşanlar (örneğin 86 vakada mikroskopik hematüri, hafif ağrı, geçici kolik) ve komşu organların yanlışlıkla ponksiyonu (örneğin sürrenal bezi ponksiyonu) olarak ikiye ayrılmıştır. 28 vakada intrarenal basınç başarıyla ölçülmüş, bir vakada arteriyel trase 95/50 mmHg olarak kaydedilmiştir. Tüm önlemlere rağmen nadir görülen iki komplikasyon detaylandırılmış, ponksiyon sonrası olumsuz durum yaşanmamıştır.
