Abstract

Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Erişkin Toraks Kalp - Damar Cerrahisi Bölümünde takılan 40 Hufnagel suni aort kapagından ikisinde 2-2,5 sene içinde leaflet yırtılmasına bağlı postoperatif aorta yetmezliği görülmüştür. Bu nedenle bu kapağın kullanılması kanımızca sakıncalıdır.

Complications Seen in Hufnagel Aortic Valves

Abstract

40 aortic valve replacements with Hufnagel prosthesis have been performed dating from 1964 to 1972, in the Department of Adult Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery - Hacettepe Univerity. During a follow-up of 2-2,5 years in two cases due to leaflet rupture of the prosthesis have been detected. Such a complication caused us to accept that the use of this prosthesis in aoric valve replacements carries a high risk.
