Abstract
This translated article introduces the "Mobilisator"—an innovative prosthetic device developed by Cl. Amberg for patients with forefoot amputations (particularly Chopart amputations). The device revolutionizes postoperative rehabilitation by restoring physiological function in the lower leg muscles and ankle joint. Unlike older prosthetics, which resulted in pes equinus deformity, muscle atrophy, joint rigidity, and chronic pain, the Mobilisator reactivates the Achilles tendon and calf musculature through its spring-loaded heel clamp and lightweight metal base, enabling near-natural walking mechanics. Practical advantages include enhanced stability, accurate force transmission, avoidance of pressure injuries, and compatibility with conventional footwear. Over 10,000 units were manufactured by 1960, with documented success even in double amputees. The article includes insights from German orthopedic surgeons, technical construction details, and functional outcomes—arguing the Mobilisator's transformative impact on the history of prosthetics.

Abstract
Bu tercüme makale, Cl. Amberg tarafından ön ayak amputasyonluları (özellikle Chopart ampütasyonları) için geliştirilen “Mobilisator” adlı yenilikçi protez cihazını tanıtmaktadır. Cihaz, alt ekstremite kasları ve ayak bileği fonksiyonlarını fizyolojik biçimde yeniden kazandırarak rehabilitasyonda devrim yaratır. Eski protezlerde görülen pes ekinus deformitesi, adale atrofisi, mafsal sertliği ve kronik ağrı gibi sorunlar Mobilisator ile ortadan kalkar. Yaylı topuk mandalı ve hafif maden tabanıyla Achille tendonu ve baldır adaleleri harekete geçirilerek, normal yürüyüş mekanizmasına yakın bir hareket sağlanır. Pratik avantajları arasında denge, kuvvet iletimi, bası noktalarının önlenmesi ve konvansiyonel ayakkabı ile uyumluluk bulunur. 1960’a kadar 10.000’den fazla üretilmiş olan Mobilisator, çift Chopart ampütasyonlular dahil birçok vak’ada başarılı sonuçlar vermiştir.
