Intraoperative Cholangiography and Its Value in Cholelithiasis

Abstract

Intraoperative cholangiography performed under a television screen in patients undergoing surgery for cholelithiasis reveals choledocholithiasis in 20-30 out of 46 patients. Inspection and palpation of the hepatobiliary duct, or searching for stones in the common bile duct with a special spoon, are crude methods. We believe that intraoperative cholangiography should be performed routinely in every cholecystectomy.

Abstract

Kolelitiyazis sebebiyle ameliyat edilen hastalarda televizyon ek- ranı altında yapılan intraoperatif kolangiografi ile 46 20-30 oranında koledokolitiyazise rastlanılmaktadır. Duktus hepato-koledokusun inspeksiyonu, palpasyonu veya özel kaşıkla koledokta taş aranması kaba metotlardır. Biz her kolesistektömide intraoperatif kolangiografinin rutin olarak yapılması lüzumuna inanıyoruz.
