Abstract

The various technics for self-administration of drugs in laboratory animals have been discussed. The methods for self-administration by oral, inhalation and intravenous routes have been especially emphasized. Table I contains the list of drugs which are self-administrated either by rats or by monkeys. İt is very interesting observation that all drugs listed in this Table Droduce psychological dependence in man.

Abstract

Deney hayvanlarında ilaçların self-administrasyonu metodları gözden geçirilmiş ve bilhassa per oral, inhalasyon ve intravenöz yollarla yapılan self-administrasyon teknikleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Sıçan ve maymunların kendilerine tatbik ettikleri maddelerle, tatbikten hoşlanmadıkları maddeler Tablo: I ve Tablo: II de gösterilmiştir. Tablo: I deki maddelerin hepsine karşı insanda da psişik dependens teşekkülü ilgi çekicidir.
Not : Bu yazıda temas olunan şahsî bulgular ve resimler, yazarın 1971 yılında ABD. de Alabama Eyaletinde Birmingham Şehrinde Southern Pescarch Institute'de Dr. G.A. Deneau'nun labratuarındaki çalışmaları ile ilgilidir.
