Abstract

From 1956-1966 (in 11 years) 5033 male patients were admitted with various urological disorders to the urological department of the Medical Fuculty.5 Scrotal gangrene were encountered in 5033 male patients (% 0.09). 4 Of them treated by the way of incision and drainage, antibiotics, peroxide irrigations and antigangrenous serum. Inspite of the application all of methods of treatment one case died (Mortality % 20).

Abstract

1956-1966 yılları arasında (11 senede) Ankara Tıp Fakültesi Uroloji Kliniğine yatırılan 5033 erkek hasta arasında 5 vak'ada (% 0.09) skrotum gangreni tesbit ettik. Hastalık idiopatik veya spontane tipinde idi. Hastalardan dördü uygun bir tedavi tarzı ile şifa bulduğu halde birisi bütün tedbirlere rağmen hastalığın karın duvarına doğru yükselmesi, toksemi ile vefat etti (Mortalite % 20).
