Abstract

1. In this article, technic and indications of Interscapulo-thoracic amputation were reviewed for malign lesions of upper extremity and shoulder girdle.

2. We presented five clinical cases which were treated in the Orthopedic clinic of Ankara Medical School, Ahmet Andiçen Cancer Hoenital in between 1963-1967 and 102 cases which were treated in New York Cancer Research Center.

3. In primmary malign tumors of upper extremity, 13.6- 28.8 per cent five years survival chance were obtained by Forequarte Amputation.

Abstract

1. Bu yazıda, üst extremite ve omuz mafsalı çevresindeki malign lezyonlarda yapılan interscapula-thorasik amputasyon endikasyonları, tekniği incelendi.

2. Ameliyatın Ankara Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi Kliniği, Ahmet Andiçen Kanser hastanesi ve Onkoloji Enstitüsünde 1963-1967 yılları arasında tedavi edilen 5 vaka ile New York Memorial Kanser Araştırma Merkezinde tedavi edilen 102 vakalık serilerin neticeleri değerlendirildi.

3. Forequarte Amputasyon üst extremitelerdeki primer malign tümörlerde % 13.6-% 28.8 nisbetlerinde 5 sene hayatta kalma şansını verir.
