The Effects on the Eye of Some Drugs which are not Used in Ophthalmology

Abstract

In this paper, author has reviewed the effects on the eye of the drugs which are used usually in ophthalmology, but they are indicated in internal medicine or neuropschiatry. They are the followings: parenteral or per oral applications of anticholinergic drugs, antihypertensive agents, cardiotonic glycosides, narcotic analgesies, phenothiazine tranquilizers, corticosteroids, antibiotics, antihelmentics, antimalarials and some others. In addition, the opthalmologic complications of some poisonings have been discussed.

Abstract

Bu konferansta oftalmolojide mutad olarak kullanılmayan ve daha ziyade iç hastalıkları ile nöropsikiyatriyi ilgilendirip, sistemik olarak tatbik edilen antikolinerjik ilaçlar, antihipertansif ilâçlar, kardiotonik glikozidler, narkotik analjezikler, fenotiazin gurubu trankilizanlar, kortikosteriodler, antibiotikler antihelmentikler, antimalarial ilaçlarla diğer bazı ilaçların göze olan tesirlerinden kısaca bahsedilmiş ve ayrıca bazı toksik maddelerle husule gelen zehirlenmelerdeki göz komplikasyonları hakkında izahat verilmiştir.
