The Potentialization of the Effects of Epinephrine and Norepinephrine on the Isolated Rabbit Aorta by the Normal Subject and Hypertensive Patient’s Urine
Abstract
1.) Both normal human and hypertensive patient urine potentiates the effects of adrenaline in isolated rabbit aortas.
2.) This effect is stronger with normal urine and less pronounced with hypertensive urine.
3.) The factor that potentiates this effect of adrenaline in urine is most likely metanephrine, a metabolite of catecholamines.
4.) The decrease in urinary excretion of metanephrine can be considered evidence of decreased Catechol-O-Methyl Transferase activity in hypertensive patients.

Normal Ve Hipertendü Hasta İdrarının, Adrenalin Ve Noradrenalin’in İzole Tavşan Aortası Üzerine Olan Tesirini Potansiyalize Edişi
Abstract
1.) Gerek normal insan ve gerekse hipertendü hasta idrarı, izole edilmiş tavşan aortasında adrenaline'in tesirini potansiyalize eder.
2.) Bu tesir normal idrarla daha kuvvetli, hipertendü idrariyle daha hafif olmaktadır.
3.) İdrarda adrenaline'in bu tesirini fortifiye eden faktör büyük bir ihtimalle catecholamine'lerin metaboliti olar metanephrine'dir.
4.) Metanephrine'in idrarla itrahındaki azalma, hipertendülerde Catechol-O-Methyl Transferase aktivitesinin azalmasının bir delili olarak kabul edilebilir.
