Distomatosis in Turkey and Familial Hepatic Distomatosis

Abstract

Three distomatosis cases, one man from Çankırı, two grown up brothers from Samsun are reported. Previous publication mentioned 6 cases in Turkey. There are nine
total cases in our country including our thrce patients. Three of them showed vague abdominal discomfort and slightiy enlarged liver; eosinophilia and leucocytosis were not observed. “Cystes of Fasciola hepatica were discovered in biliare secretion which was obtained by duodenal tube and there were also Lamblia İntestinalis in two events. Two patients were treated with Emetine. Third one could not finish the therapy and left the hospital. One of the cases, before Emetine therapy, received “Tetrachloroethylene” but it hasn't help him.

Familial Karaciğer Distomatozu ve Türkiyede Distomatoz

Abstract

Samsunda iki yetişkin kardeşde ve Çankırıdan yetişkin bir kimsede olmak üzere üç distomatoz vak'ası neşir ediyoruz. Elimize geçen literatüre nazaran şimdiye kadar memleketimizde neşir edilen vak'alar 6 adettir. Bizim üç vak'amızla beraber 9 olmaktadır. Her üç vak'ada da müphem karın şikâyetleri vardır. Her üç vak'ada da karaciğer hafif büyük bulunmuştur. Vak'alarımızda lökositoz ve eozinofili görülmemiştir. Fasciola hepatica yumurtaları duodenal tubajla elde edilen safrada tesbit edilmiş, iki vak'ada lamblia da beraber bulunmuştur. Vak'aların ikisi “emetine” tedavisinden istifade etmiş. Bir tanesi emetine kürünü tamamlamadan hastaneyi terk etmiştir. Vak'aların
birinde “emetine” tedavisinden evvel verilen “Tetrachlorure de carbone,, ile yumurtalar kayıp olmamıştır.
