Diagnosis and Surgical Indication for Primary Malignant Tumors of the Liver.

Abstract

We studied the clinical and laboratory characteristics of 33 cases of primary liver cancer. The disease is not as rare as it is commonly believed. The onset is usually sudden, and rarely insidious. The majority of the cases are multinodular widespread primary liver carcinoma. Two cases were cholangiocellular, while thirty-one cases were of hepatoma type. The diagnosis of primary liver cancer cannot be made without scanning and liver aspiration biopsy. Surgery should not be performed without applying these diagnostic methods. None of the 33 cases had tumor resection made possible by the surgeries performed.

Karaciğer Primer Malign Tümörlerinde Tanı ve Cerrahi Endikasyon

Abstract

Primer karaciğer kanseri olan 33 vak'anın klinik ve laboratuvar özelliklerini inceledik. Hastalık, sanıldığı kadar nadir değildir. Başlangıç sıklıkla ani, nadiren sinsidir. Vak'aların çoğunluğu, mültinodüler yaygın primer karaciğer karsinomudur. İki vaka kolanjiyösellüler, otuzbir vaka ise hepatoma karakterindeydi. Primer karaciğer kanseri teşhisi, scanning ve karaciğer aspirasyon biyopsisi yapılmadan konulamaz. Bu muayene metodları uygulanmadan ameliyat yapılmamalıdır. Yapılan ameliyatlar sonucu 33 vak'adan hiçbirisinde tümör rezeksiyonu mümkün olmamıştır.
