A Case of Idiopathic Hypercalcuria

Abstract

In this article, we present a case of Idiopathic Hypercalciuria showing osteomalacia despite a low-calcium diet, along with hypercalciuria. The patient had atrophy in the right kidney, nephrolithiasis, chronic pyelonephritis, and growth retardation. After ruling out other diseases causing hypercalciuria, a diagnosis of Idiopathic Hypercalciuria was made. Taking this opportunity, a brief review of calcium-phosphorus metabolism and Idiopathic Hypercalciuria was conducted.

İdiopatik Hiperkalsiüri

Abstract

Yazımızda, düşük kalsiyum diyetine rağmen hiperkalsiüri ile birlikte osteomalazi tablosu gösteren bir İdiopatik Hiperkalsiüri vakası takdim edilmiştir. Sağ böbrekte atrofi, nefrolitiazis, kronik pyelonefrit ve gelişme geriliği ile müterafık hastalık tablosunda, diğer hiperkalsiüri yapan hastalıklar ekarte edilerek İdiopatik Hiperkalsiüri teşhisi konulmuştur. Bu fırsattan istifade edilerek kalsiyum-fosfor metabolizması ve İdiopatik Hiperkalsiüri konusu kısaca gözden geçirilmiştir.
