Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy (Euhlinger's Syndrome or Touraine Solente Lake Syndrome)

Abstract

1 — A case of primary hypertrophic osteoarthropathy (Uehlinger's or Touraine Solente Gol& syndrome) was reported, and the related literature was reviewed. 2 — The disease began with puberty, and the main symptoms included enlargement of the hands and feet, talon-like fingers and watch-glass nail formation, extremity length, joint changes, and initial pachyderm-like skin changes and widespread periosteal new bone formation, along with findings such as the female pubic state and excessive sweating. 3 — We did not find the enlarged ureter found in our patient in the literature we searched. 4 — A genetic link could not be established in our case during screening for hereditary deficiency. 5 — It was determined that fewer than 80 cases have been reported in the global literature to date. 6 — No publications on this subject were found in Türkiye.

Abstract

1 — Bir vaka münasebetiyle primer hipertrofik osteoartropati (Uehlinger veya Touraine Solente Gol& sendromu) tablosu bildirildi ve buna ait literatür gözden geçirildi. 2 — Hastalığın puberte ile başlamış olması ile birlikte, el ve ayaklarda büyüme, tambur çomağı parmak ve saat camı tırnak tegekkülü, ekstremitelerin uzunluğu, eklem değişiklikleri ve başlangiç halinde pakidermi tarzında deri değişiklikleri ve yaygın periostal yeni kemik teşekkülü ana semptomlarının yanında pubes feminus hali, fazla terleme gibi bulgularla tablo tanımlandı. 3 — Hastamızda tesbit ettiğimiz geniş üreter bulgusuna araştırdığımız literatürde raslayamadık. 4 — Vakamızda herediler noksunu tesbiti yönünden yapılan taramada genetik bir bağlantı kurulamadı. 5 — Şimdiye dek dünya literatüründe 80 den az vaka bildirildiği tesbit edildi. 6 — Türkiye'de ise buna dair bir neşriyata raslanmadı.
