Ectopic Pelvic and Ectopic Kidney

Abstract

This study presents three cases of pelvic ectopic and ectopic kidneys observed across two generations of a single family. Each case revealed distinct variations in kidney number, shape, and localization. Comprehensive clinical, laboratory, radiological, and radionuclide investigations were performed. In particular, one case exhibited three kidneys, including one in the normal anatomical position. All three cases shared a common finding of a left lumbosacral ectopic kidney; two of them also had an additional pelvic ectopic kidney. The presence of such anomalies in closely related family members raises the possibility of a hereditary pattern. The study suggests that these renal anomalies may be transmitted via an autosomal dominant inheritance, contributing new insight into the ongoing discussion on the genetic basis of renal ectopia.

Ektopi̇k Pelvi̇k Ve Ektopi̇k Böbrek

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, bir ailenin iki jenerasyonunda tespit edilen ektopik pelvik ve ektopik böbrek anomalilerine sahip üç vaka sunulmuştur. Her üç bireyde de böbrek sayısı, şekli ve lokalizasyonunda farklılıklar gösteren anomaliler saptanmıştır. Vakalar detaylı klinik, laboratuvar, radyolojik ve radyobiyolojik yöntemlerle değerlendirilmiştir. Özellikle 1 numaralı vakada, biri normal lokalizasyonda olmak üzere üç ayrı böbreğin mevcudiyeti dikkat çekicidir. Her üç bireyde de sol lomber-sakral bölgede yerleşimli ektopik böbrekler bulunmuş, iki bireyde ise ek olarak pelvik ektopik böbrek tespit edilmiştir. Literatürde nadiren bildirilen bu varyasyonların, herediter bir geçiş gösterme ihtimali, aynı aileye mensup bireylerde saptanması ile kuvvetlendirilmiştir. Çalışma, bu anomalilerin otosomal dominant bir karakterle geçebileceğine dair yeni bir gözlem sunmaktadır.
