Alcoholic Liver Cirrhosis

Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic features, and treatment strategies for alcoholic liver cirrhosis. A clear correlation is demonstrated between alcohol intake amount and duration with cirrhosis development—especially in individuals consuming more than 160 grams of alcohol per day. The toxic effects of alcohol on hepatocytes are explained via metabolic and immunologic pathways, emphasizing the roles of collagen synthesis, protein metabolism, and immune dysfunction in triggering fibrosis. The clinical picture often includes hepatocellular failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Treatment is largely aimed at managing complications, as no definitive cure currently exists.

Alkolik Karaciğer Sirozu

Abstract

Bu makale, alkolik karaciğer sirozunun etyopatogenezi, klinik bulguları, tanı kriterleri ve tedavi yaklaşımlarını kapsamlı şekilde değerlendirmektedir. Alkol miktarı ve alım süresiyle siroz oluşumu arasında doğrudan bir ilişki olduğu, özellikle günde 160 gramdan fazla alkol tüketen bireylerde siroz gelişme riskinin belirgin şekilde arttığı gösterilmiştir. Metabolik ve immünolojik mekanizmalar üzerinden alkolün karaciğer hücrelerine toksik etkileri detaylandırılmış; kollajen sentezi, protein metabolizması ve bağışıklık sistemindeki değişimlerin fibrosis sürecini tetiklediği vurgulanmıştır. Klinik tabloda hepatosellüler yetmezlik, gastrointestinal kanamalar, portal hipertansiyon ve hepatoselüler karsinom gibi komplikasyonlar sık görülmektedir. Tedavi yaklaşımları arasında komplikasyonların yönetimi ön planda olup, hastalığın kesin tedavisi bulunmamaktadır.
