Abstract

(Mixed tumors of the major salivaw glands)
166 benign and malignant mixed tumors have been diagnosed among 74337 biopsy and surgical specimens sent to Department of Pathology between 1947—1970. 60 % of them (100 cases) were benign mixed tumors.
Great majority of the cases were located in parotid gland. Submandibalar gland location was fallowed after the parotid gland. None of tumors were removed with clinical diagnosis of mixed tumor from sublingual gland.
52 9/0 of cases were occured in male patients, and the average was approximately 10 years later then those found in famele patients.
It's seem that the mixed tumor is the middle age disease.
In microscopic examination, the benign mixed tumors have had a broad structural patterns.
In the most of the patient the duration of the signs were lasting many years and their complaints were painless masses.

Abstract

1947—1970 ilk altı ayı arasında AÜ. Tıp Fakültesi Patolojik Anatomi Kürsüsü'ne gelen 74337 biyopsi ya da ameliyat materyeli arasında büyük tükrük bezlerini tutmuş 166 benign ya da malign tümör bulunduğu tesbit edilmiştir. Bunların % 60'ını (100 olay) benign mikst tümörler teşkil etmektedir.
Olayların büyük kısmı parotiste husule gelmiştir. Bunu submandibular bez izlemektedir. Sublingual bez mikst tümörü klinik tanısı ile çıkarılmış olay yoktur.
Serimizde olayların % 52'si erkekleri tutmuştur. Erkeklerde ortalama yaş kadınlardan aşağı yukarı 10 yıl ileri olarak bulunmuştur.
Tümörlerin yaşlara dağılımı lezyonun orta yaş hastalığı olduğunu göstermiştir.
Mikroskopik incelemede benign mikst tümörlerin çok geniş bir strüktürel örneğe sahip oldukları gözlenmiştir.
Hastalarln ço¿unda belirtilerin süresinin senelerle ifade edildi ve $kâyetlerin genellikle aäT1s1z kitle olduä•u tesbit edilmi¥tir.
