Glomus Jugulare Tümörleri

Abstract

Two tumors of the Glomus Jugulare diagnosed in our Department of Pathology have been presented. The patients were 37 and 50 years old women. Complains of the local mass, discharge and hemorrhage, and the finding of facial paralysis were common in both cases. Vertical nistagmus and abnormal EEG have been found in only second case. First case has been operated on, and during the operation, abundant hemorrhage and cardiac arrest occurred. She has resuscitated by cardiac massage, blood transfusion and phenilin injection. Second patient didn't accept the operation, and she has only been biopseied. Our morphologic and clinical observations have been compared with those found in the literati-ire, and the results discussed.
