Abstract

Case history of 16 years old girl having the pyloric stenosls due to duodenal ulcer has been given. During a strong retching, a 3.5 cm. long tear in tunica mucosa and eventually a perforation has developed on tunica serosa of healthy stomac wall, nearby the cardia. in this article, pathogenesis, clinical picture and treatment of Mallory-Weiss syndrome has been reviewed, as well. Some special features of the case has been underlined.

Abstract

Duodenum ülserine baé•ll pilor stenozu olan, 16 ya»ndaki bir klZ çocužunda, zorlu bir öžürmeden sonra, evvelâ halsizlik, daha sonra akut karm tablosu meydana geldi. Yapllan laparatomide curvatura minor üzerinde cardia'ya yakm klsmda, mu• cosa ve submucosa'da 3.5 sm uzunlugunda Ylrtlk ve hematom, serosa'da delik ve etraflnda serosa altmda hava kabarclklarl tes bit edildi. Ylrtlk kislm dikildi. Bir müddet sonra hastaya subtotal mide rezeksiyonu yapllarak stenoz da tedavi edildi. Bu rnünasebetle kusmalar, öéürmeler sn•asmda sažlam mide mucosa'slnm Ylrtllmasl yani Mallory-Weiss sendromunun pattogenezi, klinik tablosu, tedavisi ve vak'armmn özellikleri kaydedildi ve bu halin tahmin edildiéinden Sik husule geldiéine isaret edildi.
