Bu çalışmamızda, 35 - 65 yaşları arasında bulunan her iki seksten karışık 32 hiperlipemik vak'a, üç guruba ayrılarak tedaviye tabi tutuldu. Atromid - S tedavisiyle kolesterol (16 vak'a) ve total lipidde (16 vak'a) istatistik bakımından önemli bir düşme, trigliseridde ise (9 vak'a) önemsiz düşme görüldü. Cholemine tedavi gurubunda, kolesterol (11 vak'a) seviyesinde çok önemli, total lipidde ise istatistik bakımından önemsiz düşme, buna karşılık trigliseridde (6 vak'a) yükselme görüldü. Niacin tedavi gurubunda (nicotinic acid) yeterli vak'a bulunamadığı için istatistik bakımından inceleme yapılamadı. Bu son gurupta basit ortalamayla kolesterolde Yo 19,5, total lipidde Yo 7,4 düşmeye karşılık trigliseridde artış bulundu.
İn this study we attempted to treat 32 cases of hyperlipemia with Atromid - S, Cholemine and Niacin. The ages of cases ranged between 35 and 65. 16 cases were given Atromid -S, İl cases were given Cholemine, the rest (5 cases) were given Niacin, Colesterol and total lipid level showed a considerable reduction in cases who had been treated with Atromid - S. While trigiycerid level in this group showed only a statistically insignificant reduction. İn the cases treated with Cholemine cholesterol decreased significantiy. Total lipid showed some reduction but this was not statisticalkly significant. in this group trigiycerid level (6 cases) in- creased during and after treatment.
İn cases treated with Niacin, we colud not evaluate the results since we did not have enough cases for a statıstıcal work -up, İn this last group the average serum cholesterol reducticn was G 19.5 total serum lipid reductıon was 7 7.4 Contrary to serum cholesterol and total linid reduction trigiyeerid level showed mild increase (10.2 G£) during and after treatment.
