RENAL SCINTILLATION SCANNING

Abstract

Renal scanning is a new Lesch method used in the diagnosis of parenchymal, vascular and inflammatory diseases of the kidney, cysts, tumors and in the investigation of the etiology of hypertension. It provides detection of renal infarction, kidney function disorders in pyelonephritis cases, congenital anomalies such as ectopic kidney, atnall kidney, kidney in the pelvis and localized lesions in the kidney.
There are advantages • that patients do not have pre-treatment, factors that impair the clarity of pyelography, such as fog and gas in the digestive tract, do not interfere with scanning, and the patient is given an intravenous injection only.
Tumors smaller than 2-3 cm. may not be detected on scanning. Since the appearances of tumors, cysts and abscesses are similar, it is not possible to differentiate them with kidney scanning.

Böbrek Scintillation Scanning'i

Abstract

Böbrek taraması, böbrek parankim, damar ve enflamatuvar hastalıklarının, kistlerin, tümörlerin tanısında ve hipertansiyonun etyolojisinin araştırılmasında kullanılan yeni bir Lesch yöntemidir. Böbrek enfarktüsü, piyelonefrit vakalarında böbrek fonksiyon bozuklukları, ektopik böbrek, atnalı böbrek, pelviste böbrek gibi konjenital anomaliler ve böbrekteki lokalize lezyonların tespitini sağlar.
Avantajları • Hastaların tedavi öncesi sindirim sisteminde sis ve gaz gibi piyelografinin netliğini bozan faktörler, tarama sırasında sorun yaratmaz ve hastaya sadece damardan enjeksiyon yapılır.
2-3 cm’den küçük tümörler taramada tespit edilemeyebilir. Tümör, kist ve apselerin görünümleri benzer olduğundan böbrek taramasıyla bunları birbirinden ayırt etmek mümkün değildir.
