A case of paralytic form of rabies

Abstract

A rare case of rabies is presented. The patient had onset With paralysis of Landry type. The incubation period was 6 months. Rabies was suspected because of hydrophobia which occured just a few days before her death. Autopsy findings showed characteristic pathological findings of rabies. If there is no history of a bite of a rabid animal the diagnosis may be difficult in cases of paraly•• tic forms.

Abstract

Ender bir kuduz vak'ası takdim edildi. Hastalığın başlangıcı Landry tipi paralizi şeklindedir. Kuluçka devri altı aydır. Hastanın ölümünden bir kaç gün evvel tespit edilen hidrofobi sebebiyle kuduzdan şüphe edilmiştir. Otopside kuduza ait histopatolojik belirtiler tespit edildi. Paralitik vak'alarda, şayet anamnezde bir kuduz hayvan tarafından ısırılma yoksa, teşhis güç olabilir.
