Application of the Frozen Section Method in Breast Diseases – A Comparative Study of Hematoxylin-Eosin and Polychrom Staining Technique

Abstract

Over a period of one and a half years, the results of cryosections on various breast cases at Ahmet Andiçen Cancer Hospital were presented. Hematoxylin-eosin and metachrome B stains were applied to cryosections in 30 cases. The latter method was found to provide results faster than the former. The cryosection method is considered reliable in operating rooms and hospitals with adequate conditions.

Abstract

Bir buçuk yıllık bir süre içersinde Ahmet Andiçen Kanser Hastahanesinde çeşitli meme vak'aları ile ilgili dondurma kesiti neticeleri takdim edilmiştir. 30 vak'ada dondurma kesitlerinde hematoksilen - eozin ve metakrom B boyaları uygulanmıştır. İkincisinin birincisinden daha kısa zamanda netice verdiği tesbit edilmiştir. Dondurma kesiti metoduna, şartları iyi ameliyathane ve hastahanelerde güvenilebileceği düşünülmüştür.
