Abstract
Seven out of 21460 cases who were admitted to the 1. Medical
Department of Ankara Medical School during the past twenty-one
years, were diagnosed to have Multiple Myeloma.
In this paper, 3 Multiple Myeloma cases which manifested
particular clinical aspects and had been misdiagnosed elsewhere, are
presented.
One of these cases 'was found to be beta type and the other
was gamma type electrophore tically. However, the third case showed
no electrophoretical abnormality including immuno-electrophoresis
on repeated examinations. In this case, there were only scarce
atypical plâsma-cells in bone-marrow at the onset. However, after
the termination of the Endoxan treatment, the amount of atypical
plasma cells in marrow have definitely increased.
In the case which showed garıma type abormality, an increased
amount of Hemoglobin A, was discovered. This case expired because
of an attack of pneumonia. At necropsy, disseminated various organ
plasmo-cytomas were found.

Abstract
Son yirmi bir yıl içinde Ankara Tıp Fakültesi 1. Tıp Fakültesi'ne başvuran 21460 vakadan yedisine Multipl Miyelom tanısı konuldu. Bu makalede, belirli klinik özellikler gösteren ve başka yerlerde yanlış tanı konmuş 3 Multipl Miyelom vakası sunulmaktadır. Bu vakalardan birinin beta tipi, diğerinin ise gama tipi elektroforetik olarak saptandığı bildirilmiştir. Ancak üçüncü vakada, tekrarlanan incelemelerde immüno-elektroforez dahil olmak üzere elektroforetik bir anormallik saptanmamıştır. Bu vakada, başlangıçta kemik iliğinde yalnızca az miktarda atipik plazma hücresi mevcuttu. Ancak, Endoxan tedavisinin sonlandırılmasından sonra, kemik iliğindeki atipik plazma hücrelerinin miktarı belirgin olarak artmıştır. Garima tipi anormallik gösteren vakada ise Hemoglobin A miktarında artış tespit edilmiştir. Bu vaka zatürre atağı nedeniyle hayatını kaybetti. Nekropside çeşitli organlarda yaygın plazmositomlar bulundu.
