Vacuum Extraction

Abstract

Vacuum extraction, with reference to its method of application
and opinions of various authorities, has been reviewed. In addition,
one years experience with the instrument in Osbtetrics Department
of Ankara School of Medicine, is presented. Just like any other obstetric
procedure if, conditions and indications for V E are determined
and evaluated carefully, results obtained are not much different
from those of forceps applications.

Abstract

Vakum ekstraksiyonu, uygulama yöntemi ve çeşitli otoritelerin görüşleri dikkate alınarak incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, Ankara Tıp Fakültesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Anabilim Dalı'nda cihazla ilgili bir yıllık deneyim sunulmuştur. Diğer tüm obstetrik prosedürlerde olduğu gibi, V E için koşullar ve endikasyonlar belirlenip dikkatlice değerlendirildiğinde, elde edilen sonuçlar forseps uygulamalarından çok farklı değildir.
