Abstract

Histological Analysis of Testicular Biopsies This study analyzes 116 testicular biopsy samples, focusing on histological changes related to various conditions such as Klinefelter syndrome, cryptorchidism, senile atrophy, and orchitis. Observed lesions included basement membrane thickening, Sertoli cell proliferation, interstitial fibrosis, Leydig cell hyperplasia, and epithelial atrophy. In cases of Klinefelter syndrome, prominent histological findings were thickened basal membranes with collagen-rich fibrous cells, degenerate spermatogenic cells, and adenomatous Leydig cell proliferation. The study reviews developmental embryology of gonads and discusses hormonal, genetic, and pathological mechanisms in Klinefelter syndrome, comparing findings with other testicular abnormalities.

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 116 testis biyopsisi histolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Vakalar arasında Klinefelter sendromu, kriptorşidizm, senil atrofi ve orşit gibi çeşitli patolojilere ait biyopsiler değerlendirilmiştir. Sıklıkla gözlenen lezyonlar arasında bazal membran kalınlaşması, Sertoli hücre artışı, interstisyel fibrozis, Leydig hücre hiperplazisi ve epitelyal atrofi yer almıştır. Özellikle Klinefelter sendromu vakalarında kollajen açısından zengin bazal membran kalınlaşmaları, dejeneratif spermatogenetik hücreler ve adenomatöz Leydig hücre proliferasyonu dikkat çekmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmada gonad gelişiminin embriyolojik aşamaları, genetik ve hormonal faktörlerin testis disgenezi üzerindeki rolü detaylı olarak tartışılmıştır.
