Freyer Usulü İle Tamponsuz Prostatektomi yapılamaz mı?
Abstract
The 34 cases on which this article is based were not selected in any particular way. They were performed in series each year. Upon examination, it is seen that their age and general health status vary. In only two of these cases, it was felt necessary to insert a tampon four hours after the operation. Of the three cases that resulted in death, two passed away 12 and 20 days later, and therefore had absolutely no relation to bleeding. Only one died on the evening of the operation due to cardiac failure, which could potentially be related to bleeding.Therefore, I believe I can recommend applying the Freyer technique without the use of a tampon.
