Abstract
Konferans, kalp hastalıkları alanında önemli bir konuşma oldu ve özellikle S. Levine'in yaptığı "normal fibrilatörler" üzerine konuşması dikkat çekiciydi. Levine, Boston'daki klinik gözlemlerine dayalı olarak, sağlıklı bireylerde 50 yaş civarındaki kişilerde rastlanan fibrilasyonların, kalp yetmezliği veya organik kalp hastalıklarına yol açmadan uzun süre devam edebileceğini belirtti. Bu, özellikle fibrilasyonların fonksiyonel bir ritim bozukluğu olduğunu ve bu durumu yıllarca takip ederek önemli bulgulara ulaştığını gösterdi. Bazı vakalar 37 yıl boyunca fibrilasyonla yaşarken, diğerleri 25 yıl sonra sağlıklı bir şekilde hayatlarına devam edebildiler.

Abstract
The conference was one of the most original and serious discussions I've attended. S. Levine's talk on "normal fibrillators" was particularly notable. Based on his personal observations of cases in his clinic in Boston, Levine discussed the occurrence of fibrillation in healthy individuals around the age of 50. These patients did not have any underlying organic heart disease, and the fibrillation appeared to be a functional rhythm disturbance similar to extrasystoles or other arrhythmias seen in younger people. The most remarkable aspect of Levine's presentation was his long-term follow-up of these patients, some of whom lived for 37 years with fibrillation and another who continued for 25 years, without it leading to heart failure or any significant heart disease. This demonstrated that fibrillation in healthy individuals can persist for long periods without severe consequences.
