Abstract

Verem hastalarının psikolojisi genellikle verem uzmanlarının daha çok fiziksel belirtilerle ilgilenen bir konu olmuştur. Ancak, bu hastaların ruhsal tepkileri ve psikolojik durumları üzerinde yapılan araştırmalar, tüberkülozun psikopatolojisini anlamak için önemlidir. Bu hastalıkla birlikte gelişen psikolojik reaksiyonların, hastalığın kendisi ile ilgili özellikler kadar, kişinin önceki ruhsal durumu ve çevresel faktörlerle de ilişkili olduğu vurgulanmaktadır. Yazar, tüberküloz hastalarının ruhsal durumlarını değerlendirmeden önce, hastalığın etkisi altında gelişen zihinsel değişikliklerin kişisel özellikler ve çevresel faktörlerle nasıl şekillendiğini anlamanın gerekli olduğunu belirtmektedir.

Abstract

The psychology of tuberculosis patients has often been a topic primarily addressed by tuberculosis specialists, who tend to focus more on the physical symptoms. However, research into the psychological reactions and mental states of these patients is crucial to understanding the psychopathology of tuberculosis. The psychological reactions that develop alongside the disease are not only linked to the disease itself but are also shaped by the patient's prior mental state and environmental factors. The author emphasizes the importance of understanding how mental changes triggered by the disease are influenced by personal characteristics and environmental factors before making a judgment on the patient's psychological state.
