Abstract

This study examines the comparative value of gastroscopy and radiology methods in the diagnosis of gastric diseases. It addresses the diagnostic value of gastroscopy in gastric pathology based on numerous gastroscopic examinations performed at the gastroscopy center established at the II. Internal Medicine Clinic of Ankara Medical Faculty since 1954. The article emphasizes that the discovery of the flexible gastroscope and the development of gastroscopes equipped with biopsy and photography devices have led to significant advances in the field of gastroenterology. These advancements have made gastroscopy a safe and practical examination method. The study presents its own findings and thoughts in comparison with radiological examinations.

Mide Hastalıklarının Teşhisinde Gastroskopi ve Radyolojinin Değeri Hakkında Bir Mukayese

Abstract

Bu çalışma, mide hastalıklarının teşhisinde gastroskopi ve radyoloji yöntemlerinin karşılaştırmalı değerini incelemektedir. 1954 yılından beri Ankara Tıp Fakültesi II. Dahiliye Kliniği'nde kurulan gastroskopi merkezinde yapılan çok sayıda gastroskopik tetkikten elde edilen verilerle, bu metodun gastrik patolojideki teşhis değeri ele alınmaktadır. Makalede, fleksibl gastroskopun keşfi ve biyopsi ile fotoğraf apareyleriyle donatılmış gastroskopların geliştirilmesinin gastroenteroloji alanında büyük ilerlemelere yol açtığı vurgulanmaktadır. Bu ilerlemeler sayesinde gastroskopi, tehlikesiz ve pratik bir muayene metodu haline gelmiştir. Çalışma, radyolojik tetkiklerle kıyaslayarak kendi bulgularını ve düşüncelerini sunmaktadır.
