Abstract

This article examines the combined hemoglobin and thalassemia syndromes identified in Turkey. The text focuses on sickle cell-thalassemia disease, stating that this condition is prevalent among the Eti-Turk community. The article notes that this disease, also found in countries like Italy, the USA, Greece, and England, has been identified in 11 cases within the Eti-Turk community. The paper demonstrates that sickle cell-thalassemia can occur in various regions and races, similar to how sickle cell anemia and thalassemia manifest.

Abstract

Bu makale, Türkiye'de tespit edilen kombine hemoglobin ve talasemi sendromlarını incelemektedir. Özellikle orak hücre-talasemi hastalığına odaklanılan yazıda, bu durumun Eti-Türkleri topluluğu arasında yaygın olduğu belirtilmektedir. İtalya, ABD, Yunanistan ve İngiltere gibi ülkelerde de görülen bu hastalığın, Eti-Türkleri'nde de 11 vaka ile tespit edildiği vurgulanmaktadır. Makale, orak hücre-talasemi hastalığının, orak hücre anemisi ve talasemide olduğu gibi, farklı bölgelerde ve ırklarda ortaya çıkabileceğini göstermektedir.
