Abstract

1 — A survey has been made on the intestinal helminth infections of the primary school children from Alanya.
2 — At the results upon the fecal examinations of 132 children, it has been found that 38 out of 132 (%28) were infected with intestinal helminths. Between the two schools Sugözü showed the higher percentage (%34.1) while the Barbaros was %20. The helminth species which have been found were as follows: Ascaris lumbricoides %24.5, Trichuris trichiura %7, Hymenolepis nana %7, Enterobius vermicularis %4.5.
3 — It has been found that there is a relation between the incidence of the infections and the social-economic and hygienic conditions of the children. It was also observed that number of infected boys was much higher than those of girls.
4 — Different papers have been reviewed about the investigations of the intestinal helminth infections from men specially from the children on the world, and notes have been given about the distribution, prophylaxis, and the treatment of the intestinal helminth infections.

Alanya İlkokul Çocuklarında Görülen Helmint Enfeksiyonları

Abstract

1 — 31 Mayıs ve 2 Haziran 1972 tarihlerinde Alanya’nın ilkokullarındaki öğrenciler üzerinde barsak helmintleri yönünden bir araştırma yapılmıştır.
2 — Barbaros ilkokulundaki 50 ve Sugözü ilkokulundaki 82 çocuğun muayenelerinde %20 ve %34 oranında helmintlere rastlanmıştır. Toplam olarak 132 çocuktan 38’inin (%28) çeşitli türlerle enfekte olduğu tesbit edilmiştir. Bulunan türler şunlardır: Ascaris lumbricoides %24.5, Trichuris trichiura %7, Hymenolepis nana %7, Enterobius vermicularis %4.5.
3 — Çocukların sosyo-ekonomik ve hijyenik durumlarıyle helmint enfeksiyonlarının yayılışı arasında belirti bir ilişki bulunduğu anlaşılmıştır. Parazitli olan erkek çocukların sayısı kız çocuklara nazaran daha yüksek olduğu müşahede edilmiştir.
4 — İnsanların ve özellikle çocukların helmint enfeksiyonlarının yayılışı, sağıtma ve korunma konuları üzerinde dünyanın çeşitli ülkelerinde yapılmış olan çalışmalarla ilgili literatür gözden geçirilmiş ve gerekli bilgi verilmiştir.
