Abstract
Amaç: Orta serebral arterin (a. cerebri media) literatürde çokça tartışılmamış dalı olan temporal arterin anatomik olarak kadavra üzerinde değerlendirilmesi ve kanlanmasını sağladığı temporal lobdaki (lobus temporalis) verdiği kortikal dalların dağılma paternlerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: 27 insan beyni (54 hemisfer) üzerinde çalışıldı. Beyinlerin arterleri yıkandıktan sonra renklendirilmiş lateks ile doldurulmak suretiyle diseksiyona hazır hale getirildi. Temporal arter tanımlandı. Orjin aldığı yerler, verdiği kortikal dallar ortaya konuldu. Bu arterlerin çapları, sulama alanları ve birbirleri ile olan ilişkileri gösterildi.Bulgular: Temporal arterin hemen tüm hemisferlerde görüldüğü belirlendi. Temporal loba verdiği kortikal dalların 2 ila 4 adet dal arasında değiştiği görüldü. Hem temporal arterin, hem de verdiği kortikal dalların erken dal olarak orijin almaları durumunda arter çaplarının arttığı gösterildi.Sonuç: Temporal arter, anatomistlerin ve nöroşirürjiyenlerin çoğu zaman gözünden kaçan bir arter olmuştur. Hâlbuki, suladığı alanın önemi ve verdiği dallardaki değişken yapı göz önüne alındığında dikkate alınması gereken bir vasküler yapı olduğu düşünülmektedir.
